Category Wise Reservation
Vacancies are reserved as per Himachal Pradesh Government rules for: General (UR), SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Ward of Freedom Fighters.

HPPSC Assistant Professor Eligibility Criteria 2026
Applicants must fulfill the following eligibility conditions.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks in the relevant subject.
- 50% marks are applicable for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and PwBD candidates.
- Qualified UGC NET / CSIR NET / SLET / SET.
- Candidates holding a Ph.D. as per UGC regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 45 Years
- Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026.
- Reserved category candidates will receive age relaxation as per Himachal Pradesh Government rules.

HPPSC Assistant Professor Salary 2026
Selected candidates will be appointed as Job Trainees and receive a fixed monthly salary of: ₹35,000 per month
