Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has announced the Recruitment 2026 notification for 667 vacancies including Technician, Mining Sirdar, and other posts. Candidates holding qualifications such as B.A, B.Tech/B.E, or Diploma are eligible to apply online.

Eligibility Criteria

Post-wise Essential Qualifications

Jr. Overman (T&S Gr-C)

• Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering (approved by Central Government).
• Valid Overman Competency Certificate (Unrestricted) issued by DGMS (Coal Mines Regulation 2017) for OC & UG mines.
• Valid First Aid & Gas Testing Certificates.

Mining Sirdar (T&S Gr-C)

• 10+2 OR Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering (approved by Central Government).
• Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate (Unrestricted) issued by DGMS for OC & UG mines.
• Valid First Aid & Gas Testing Certificates.

Surveyor (T&S Gr-B)

• 10+2 OR Diploma/Degree in Mining/Mine Surveying Engineering (approved by Central Government).
• Valid Surveyor Competency Certificate (Unrestricted) issued by DGMS for OC & UG mines.

Translator (OL Clerical Gr-III)

• B.A. with Hindi & English.
• Govt. Diploma in Hindi Translation (preferred).

Technician (Pathology) (T&S Gr-C)

• Diploma in Pathology from a Government-recognized institute.

MCL Recruitment 2026: Post-wise Vacancy Details

Selection Process

• Selection will be based only on Computer Based Test (CBT). No interview will be conducted.
• CBT will be objective type (MCQs) with no negative marking. Question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi).
• Total Marks: 100

CBT Pattern

• Section A: General Awareness/Aptitude – 20 Questions (20 Marks)
• Section B: Technical Knowledge – 80 Questions (80 Marks)

Qualifying Marks

• General/EWS – 45% (45 Marks)
• OBC (NCL) – 40% (40 Marks)
• SC/ST – 35% (35 Marks)

Further Process

• Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification (1:3 ratio) based on CBT merit.
• Tie-breaking: Date of Birth (elder first), then alphabetical order of name.
• Final selection will be based on merit, reservation policy, document verification, and Initial Medical Examination (IME).
• Merit panel validity: 1 year.
• CBT schedule and updates will be available on the official website.

Salary / Stipend

Pay Scale (NCWA-XI)

• Jr. Overman (T&S Gr-C): ₹ 47,330.25/- per month
• Mining Sirdar (T&S Gr-C): ₹ 47,330.25/- per month
• Surveyor (T&S Gr-B): ₹ 51,103.12/- per month
• Translator (OL Clerical Gr-III): ₹ 41,966.51/- per month
• Technician (Pathology) (T&S Gr-C): ₹ 47,330.25/- per month

In addition to Basic Pay, selected candidates will be entitled to allowances and other fringe benefits as per Company Rules and National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA-XI).
