Selection Process
- The merit list will be prepared based on the average percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and the ITI examination, with equal weightage given to both qualifications.
- In the event that two or more candidates secure equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate who is older in age. If their dates of birth are also the same, priority will be given to the candidate who passed the Matriculation examination earlier.
- There will be no written test or viva.

Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 15 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 10 years, plus the actual period of military service rendered and an additional 3 years, subject to the condition that the candidate has completed a minimum of 6 months of continuous service in the Defence Forces. This age relaxation benefit is not applicable to Ex-Servicemen who have already secured employment in a civil post under the Government after availing the Ex-Servicemen reservation/status.
- An Ex-Serviceman selected under the reservation quota will be placed in the appropriate category (UR/SC/ST/OBC) to which he belongs.
- Ex-Servicemen, their children and the children of Armed Forces personnel shall be considered for apprenticeship engagement under the following categories:
- Children of deceased or disabled Ex-Servicemen, including those who were killed or disabled during peacetime.
- Children of Ex-Servicemen.
- Children of serving Jawans.
- Children of serving Officers.
- Ex-Servicemen.
