Salary and Pay Scale
The Scientific/Technical Assistant-A post is placed at Pay Level 6 under the 7th Central Pay Commission.

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will receive applicable allowances and benefits according to the rules of the Government of India.

Selection Process
The NIC Scientific/Technical Assistant-A recruitment does not include a separate written examination or interview.
Selection will primarily be based on the candidate’s GATE score.

- If the tie still remains, the candidate having a higher percentage in the essential qualification will be ranked higher.
Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
Candidates must produce their original documents along with the required copies. Failure to appear for document verification or failure to produce the required documents may result in cancellation of candidature.
Document verification may be conducted in Delhi or at another location/mode approved by the competent authority.
NIC will not accept requests for postponement or change of the verification location and no TA/DA will be paid for attending document verification.
