SSC CHSL Vacancy 2026
SSC has reported approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies for the CHSL 2026 recruitment.
The vacancies are for:
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)
- Data Entry Operator (DEO)
- Data Entry Operator Grade ‘A’

SSC CHSL Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet the required educational qualification by 7 October 2026.
LDC/JSA and Most DEO Posts
Candidates should have passed the 12th Standard or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board or University.
Certain DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ Posts
For DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts in specified departments, candidates must have passed 12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognised board.
Candidates appearing for their Class 12 examination may also apply, provided their qualifying result is declared on or before 7 October 2026.
SSC CHSL Age Limit 2026
The prescribed age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 1 August 2026.
Candidates should have been born between 2 August 1999 and 1 August 2008, subject to applicable age relaxation.

SSC CHSL Salary 2026
Selected candidates will receive salary according to the applicable 7th Central Pay Commission pay levels.

SSC CHSL Selection Process 2026
The SSC CHSL selection process consists of Tier-I and Tier-II Computer Based Examinations.
Tier-I Examination
Tier-I contains four sections:

- Section-II: English Language & Comprehension and General Awareness
- Section-III: Computer Knowledge Test
- Section-IV: Skill Test/Typing Test
Candidates must qualify in all applicable sections of Tier-II. The Computer Knowledge Test is qualifying in nature, while the Skill Test/Typing Test is conducted according to the post applied for.
How to Apply for SSC CHSL 2026
Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the SSC website or the mySSC mobile application.
- Visit the official SSC website.
- Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website.
- Log in using your registration details.
- Select the SSC CHSL 2026 examination.
- Enter the required personal, educational and other details.
- Select your preferred examination centres.
- Upload/provide the required photograph and other information as instructed.
- Pay the application fee, if applicable.
- Submit the application form.
- Save or print a copy of the submitted application for future reference.
SSC CHSL 2026 Application Correction
SSC will provide an application correction window from 14 October to 16 October 2026, up to 11:00 PM.
Eligible candidates can make corrections according to the conditions prescribed by SSC. The notification states that a maximum of two modifications/re-submissions can be made during the correction period.
Important: OTR generated on the previous SSC website will not work on the new website. Candidates need to complete OTR on the new SSC website.
