APPSC TGT Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 389 Trained Graduate Teacher Posts

Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released Advertisement No. 02/2026 for the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) Examination (Secondary Level). A total of 389 vacancies are available in the Education Department.

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400).

Eligibility Criteria

Selection Process

The selection process for Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission TGT Recruitment 2026 consists of two stages – a Written Examination and Viva-Voce & Classroom Teaching.

Stage 1: Written Examination (Objective) – 450 Marks

• Paper 1: General English, General Studies, Aptitude & Pedagogy – 150 marks
• Paper 2: Concerned Subject – 300 marks
• Negative Marking: 1/6th marks deducted for each wrong answer

Candidates must secure the prescribed minimum qualifying marks (overall & subject-wise) to be shortlisted.

Stage 2: Viva-Voce & Classroom Teaching – 50 Marks

• Shortlisting in approx. 1:3 ratio of vacancies
• Assesses subject knowledge, teaching skills, communication & classroom handling

Final Selection

The final merit list is prepared out of 500 marks (450 + 50).
Only candidates who qualify the written exam and meet all eligibility conditions will be considered for final appointment.

Age Limit (as on 27-04-2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 35 Years
• The upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to APST, PwBD and other reserved categories in accordance with the rules and latest notifications issued by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
