IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division, Northern Region, has released a new apprenticeship recruitment notification for 433 Technician, Graduate and Trade Apprentice positions. Eligible candidates can apply online from 7 August 2026 to 6 September 2026.

Eligibility depends on the discipline code selected by the candidate.
Technician Apprentice – Discipline Codes 101 to 106
Candidates must possess a 3-year regular full-time Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline from an AICTE/UGC-recognised institution or university.

Graduate Apprentice – Discipline Code 112
Candidates must possess a regular full-time graduate degree in a relevant discipline such as B.A., B.Com, B.Sc. or BBA, as applicable under the notification.
The minimum qualifying marks are generally:
- 50% aggregate for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates
- 45% aggregate for SC/ST/PwBD candidates applying against reserved positions
The degree must be from a recognised university/institution.
Data Entry Operator Apprentice – Discipline Codes 113 and 114
Discipline Code 113 – DEO Fresher:
Candidates must have passed Class 12 and must not have completed graduation.
Discipline Code 114 – DEO Skill Certificate Holders:
Candidates must have passed Class 12 and possess a Domestic Data Entry Operator skill certificate of less than one year from an eligible government-recognised skill certification body.
Important Eligibility Conditions
Candidates should carefully check the following conditions before applying:
- The prescribed qualification must have been obtained through a regular full-time course.
- Part-time, correspondence and distance-learning qualifications are not eligible where the notification requires regular full-time study.
- Candidates can apply for only one discipline code.
- Applying for more than one discipline code may result in rejection of all applications.
- Candidates who have already completed five years in the relevant discipline after obtaining the prescribed qualification, as reckoned on 31 August 2026, are not eligible.
- Candidates holding higher professional qualifications such as B.E., MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB or equivalent are not eligible.
- Diploma/Vocational Certificate holders with one year or more of job experience after obtaining the qualification are not eligible.
- Candidates can undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification.
- Candidates whose NATS apprenticeship contract has already been approved cannot create another apprenticeship contract under the specified conditions.

Age relaxation is applicable only for posts/seats reserved for the respective category and as per government rules and the official notification.
IOCL Apprentice Stipend 2026
The stipend will be paid according to the applicable provisions of the Apprentices Act, Apprentices Rules and government guidelines.
In addition to the statutory stipend, IOCL Marketing Division, Northern Region will provide ₹2,500 per month towards miscellaneous expenses, subject to the terms of the notification.
The exact statutory stipend amount may vary according to the apprenticeship category and applicable government/BOAT/NAPS rules. Therefore, candidates should not assume a single fixed stipend amount for all 433 positions.
For Graduate and Technician Apprentices, a portion of the stipend may be paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) by the Board of Apprenticeship Training. Trade Apprentices under NAPS receive the applicable stipend through IOCL as per the prevailing rules.
IOCL Apprentice Selection Process 2026
The selection process does not include a written examination or interview.
1. Merit List: IOCL will prepare a merit list based on the marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination for the relevant discipline.
2. Tie-Breaking: In case two candidates have the same marks, the tie-breaking criteria mentioned in the notification will be followed. Preference is based first on the specified date-of-birth criterion and subsequently on matriculation marks where applicable.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of their original certificates and documents.
4. Medical Fitness: Candidates must qualify the prescribed pre-engagement medical fitness test.
