Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks, along with B.Ed. (minimum 50% marks) and must have passed TET.

Subject-wise Qualification

• Biology: Master’s in Botany, Zoology, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Bio-Technology, etc. with Botany & Zoology at Graduation level
• Chemistry: Master’s in Chemistry or Biochemistry
• Physics: Master’s in Physics, Electronics, or Nuclear Physics
• Commerce: Master’s in Accountancy, Financial Accountancy, Income Tax, or MFC

Additional Requirements

Candidates must have proficiency in teaching Hindi and English.
A 5% relaxation in marks is available for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates of Himachal Pradesh.
Applicants should have passed Matric and 10+2 from a Himachal Pradesh school (except Bonafide Himachali candidates).

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years
• Age Relaxation: Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to reserved category candidates as per Himachal Pradesh Government rules and recruitment norms.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Screening Test followed by Document Verification.

Computer Based Test (CBT)

• Total Marks: 120
• Questions: 120 Multiple Choice Questions (1 mark each)
• Duration: 90 Minutes

Exam Syllabus

The test will include:

• Subject-related topics as per the required qualification
• General Knowledge (including Himachal Pradesh & Current Affairs)
• Everyday Science
• Logical Reasoning
• Social Science
• General English
• General Hindi (Matric Level)

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• General Category: 45%
• SC/ST/OBC/Wards of Freedom Fighters: 40%

Final Selection

Candidates shortlisted on merit will be called for Document Verification. Final selection will be based on CBT marks and verification of original documents.

The appointment will be temporary for 5 years on fixed honorarium under the CBSE Scheme and candidates may be posted anywhere in Himachal Pradesh.

Salary / Honorarium

Selected candidates will receive a fixed honorarium of ₹30,000 per month, payable for 10 months in an academic year, under the scheme notified vide No. EDN-B-A(1)-3/2025 dated 01.04.2026.

The appointment is purely temporary and scheme-based for 5 years. Candidates will not be considered regular Government employees, and no claim for regularization will be entertained.

Go to the “Apply” section and select your desired post:

Step 6: Verify Details

Check and confirm all details auto-filled from your OTR profile.

Step 7: Choose Exam District

Select your preferred examination district (final centre allotment will be decided by HPRCA).

Step 8: Pay Application Fee

Complete the payment online using Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking.

Step 9: Final Submit

Review your application carefully, submit it, and take a printout of the application form for future reference.

Note: Candidates can submit only one application per post.
