Indian Navy Agniveer (MR/Musician) Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

The Indian Navy Recruitment 2026 notification has been released for Agniveer (MR/Musician) posts. Candidates who have passed 10th Class are eligible to apply online. The online application process starts on 11 April 2026 and will remain open until 26 April 2026. Indian Navy Agniveer (MR/Musician) Recruitment 2026 Overview

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

• Candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th) Examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a Board of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
• Only unmarried male & unmarried female candidates are eligible to apply. Candidates must submit an unmarried certificate at the time of enrolment. Agniveers are not permitted to marry during their four-year tenure. Marriage during the service period will lead to dismissal from service.

Salary (Pay, Allowances & Benefits)

Agniveers will receive a monthly package of ₹30,000, along with a fixed annual increment each year. In addition to the salary, they will also be entitled to risk and hardship allowances, as well as dress and travel allowances as applicable.

• Life Insurance Cover: ₹48 Lakh (non-contributory)
• Death Compensation: ₹44 Lakh (one-time ex-gratia) + Insurance
• Disability Compensation: ₹44/25/15 Lakh (based on % disability)

Age Limit

• Born between 01 Jul 2004 – 31 Dec 2008

Selection Process

The selection of recruits will be made strictly on the order of merit, based on their performance in the prescribed selection stages.

• Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in the Matriculation (10th) Examination on an All India merit basis. Only candidates possessing valid music certificates will be considered.
• Recruitment Process: Shortlisted candidates will undergo the following stages of selection: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) → Written Examination → Music Ability Test → Recruitment Medical Examination.
• Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – Qualifying:

• Written Examination: 50 MCQs (Science & Mathematics + General Awareness), 30 minutes, bilingual, minimum 25% marks required.
• Music Ability Test: Qualifying for final selection.
• Recruitment Medical Examination & Pre-Enrolment Medicals at INS Chilka.

Final Merit List: Based on performance in Music Ability Test (All India basis).

Step 2: Fill out the online application form with accurate details and upload scanned copies of all required documents, including:

• Music Certificates
• Matriculation Marksheet
• Recent Photograph with Slate

Step 3: Carefully verify all the entered details and submit the application form.

Step 4: Download and take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

Important Note: A recent passport-size colour photograph (taken on or after March 2026) with the candidate’s name and date written on a slate is mandatory. Applications sent through Speed Post / Registered Post / Offline mode will not be accepted.
