Mineral Exploration & Consultancy Limited (MECL), a Mini Ratna-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has released the MECL Executive Trainee Recruitment 2026 Notification for 13 Executive Trainee vacancies in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines.
The recruitment is based on the UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2024 score. Only candidates who qualified the ESE 2024 written examination, appeared in the UPSC interview, but were not recommended for final selection are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the following eligibility conditions before applying.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess:
Executive Trainee (Electrical)
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 60% marks
Executive Trainee (Mechanical)
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 60% marks
Additionally, candidates must:
- Have cleared the UPSC ESE 2024 written examination.
- Have appeared for the UPSC ESE 2024 interview.
- Not be recommended in the final UPSC merit list.
- Have opted to share their UPSC score with MECL.

MECL Executive Trainee Salary 2026
Selected candidates will undergo one year of training.
Pay Scale: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 (E-1 IDA Scale)

Selection Process

Tie-Breaking Rule

- Older candidate will be given preference.
- If still tied, higher engineering percentage will be considered.

Service Bond
Selected candidates must:
- Serve MECL for 36 months
- Sign a ₹1.8 lakh Service Bond
- A retention amount of ₹5,000 per month will be deducted during service and refunded after successful completion of 36 months (without interest).
