Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

The required qualification varies according to the post.

Sr. Assistant Officer (HR)

Candidates should have:

  • A graduate degree and
  • A minimum two-year full-time postgraduate degree/diploma/programme in Management with specialization in HR, Industrial Relations or Personnel Management; or
  • Master of Social Work (MSW); or
  • MHROD; or
  • MBA with specialization in HR.

Candidates should have secured at least 60% marks, as per the applicable university/institute norms.

Computer knowledge is essential. A law degree is desirable.

Sr. Assistant Officer (Law)

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent full-time degree) from a recognized university/institution with at least 60% marks.

Sr. Assistant Engineer (Electrical)

A B.E./B.Tech degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks is required.

Sr. Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)

A B.E./B.Tech degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering with at least 60% marks is required.

Sr. Assistant Engineer (C&I)

Candidates should have a B.E./B.Tech degree in Electronics, Control & Instrumentation or Instrumentation Engineering with at least 60% marks.

Sr. Assistant Engineer (IT/ERP)

Candidates should possess a B.E./B.Tech degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Electronics & Communication Engineering with at least 60% marks.

Experience Required

Educational qualification alone is not sufficient. Candidates must also have the required post-qualification experience.

For Electrical, Mechanical and C&I positions, relevant experience should be in areas such as operation, maintenance, commissioning, erection or engineering in a power plant/project.

For the IT/ERP position, experience in areas such as network security, software development, database management and communication systems is relevant. CCNA/CCNP or an equivalent valid certification is preferable.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for all posts is 32 years as on the last date of online application.

Age relaxation will be applicable to eligible reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

NSPCL Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

The NSPCL selection process consists primarily of an All India-based Online Selection Test followed by a Personal Interview for shortlisted candidates.

1. Online Selection Test: The online test consists of two sections:

  • Subject Knowledge Test (SKT)
  • Executive Aptitude Test (EAT)

Candidates have to qualify in both sections separately.

2. Personal Interview: Candidates shortlisted based on merit and the requirements of the post may be called for a personal interview.

Final Selection: The final selection will be based on:

  • Online Selection Test – 85% weightage
  • Personal Interview – 15% weightage

Candidates will have to select two preferred examination cities while applying. Once submitted, the examination centre preference cannot normally be changed.

NSPCL Recruitment 2026 – Service Agreement Bond

Selected candidates are required to execute a service agreement bond to serve NSPCL for at least four years after joining.

The bond amount is:

  • SC/ST/PwBD: ₹2,50,000
