Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility is based on both educational qualification and recognized sports achievements.

Age Limit

The candidate must be between 18 and 25 years of age as on 1 January 2027.

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 25 years
  • Date of birth should be between 1 January 2002 and 1 January 2009, both dates inclusive.

For posts requiring clerical duties, candidates may also have to qualify a typing test of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi within the prescribed period.

Eligible achievements include specified participation or medal positions in:

  • World Cup and World Championships.
  • Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.
  • Youth Olympics and other specified international competitions.
  • Commonwealth, Asian or South Asian championships.
  • Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships.
  • National Games.
  • All India Inter-University Championships.
  • Federation Cup Championships.

Level 1 Sports Norms

Eligible candidates may include sportspersons who have:

  • Represented their country in specified recognized championships.
  • Secured the required position in Federation Cup Championships.
  • Represented a State or equivalent unit in Senior National Championships with the required ranking.

Note: Sports eligibility varies by discipline. Candidates should check the event-specific conditions in the official notification before submitting an application.

Important Sport-Specific Conditions
