SSF Constable Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for Barber & Washerman Posts

The Secretariat Security Force (SSF) has released a recruitment notification for 10 Constable posts. Candidates who have completed 10th (Matriculation) are eligible to apply for this opportunity.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification – Constable (Barber):

• Matriculation (10th) pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Candidates must qualify the Trade Test in the Barber profession.

Qualification – Constable (Washerman):

• Matriculation (10th) pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Candidates must qualify the Trade Test in the Washerman profession.

Nationality:

• Only Male Indian Citizens are eligible to apply.

Crucial Date:

• All eligibility conditions such as age, qualification and other requirements will be determined as on the closing date of the online application (28 April 2026).

Salary/Stipend

Post Name: Constable (Barber) and Constable (Washerman)
Service Category: General Central Service – Group ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial)
Pay Scale (7th CPC): Level-2 Pay Matrix – ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 per month
Job Nature: The posts are temporary in nature but likely to become permanent in the Secretariat Security Force (SSF).

Selection Process

• Stage 1 – Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates must qualify the Physical Efficiency Test as prescribed for SSF recruitment.
• Stage 2 – Physical Standard Test (PST): Physical measurements of candidates will be verified as per the required standards.
• Stage 3 – Written Examination: Candidates who qualify PET and PST will be eligible to appear in the written examination.
• Stage 4 – Trade Test: Candidates must pass the Trade Test in their respective trade (Barber or Washerman).
• Stage 5 – Document Verification: Original documents of shortlisted candidates will be verified.
• Stage 6 – Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Detailed Medical Examination to assess their fitness.
• Stage 7 – Review Medical Examination (RME): Candidates declared unfit in the DME may apply for a Review Medical Examination.

Medical Standards:
Medical fitness will be assessed according to the Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and ARs, issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and amended from time to time.

• Constable (Barber): 18 to 23 years
• Constable (Washerman): 18 to 23 years
