UPSC Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 48 Vacancies – Apply Online for Assistant Soil Chemist, Prosecutor, Assistant Professor & Other Posts

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released Advertisement No. 08/2026 for recruitment to various Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ posts in different Central Government ministries and departments. A total of 48 vacancies are available for posts including Assistant Soil Chemist, Prosecutor, Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor, Deputy Assistant Director (Entomology), Entomologist, Junior Scientific Officer and Superintendent (Legal).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications and experience as prescribed for the respective post.

Assistant Soil Chemist

  • Master’s Degree in Agriculture/Agricultural Chemistry/Soil Science.
  • 3 years of experience in soil and water analysis.

Prosecutor (SFIO)

  • Graduate with LLB or Integrated Law Degree.
  • 1-2 years of experience in legal matters and litigation.

Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor Posts

  • MBBS degree along with relevant DM/DNB/MD/MS/MCh qualifications in the concerned specialty.
  • 3 years of teaching experience after obtaining the first postgraduate degree.

Deputy Assistant Director (Entomology)

  • Master’s Degree in Zoology with Entomology or Public Health Entomology.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.

Entomologist (CCCO)

  • Master’s Degree in Zoology with Entomology or Public Health Entomology.
  • 3 years of experience.

Junior Scientific Officer (Toxicology)

  • Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Pharmacology/Pharmacy/Forensic Science.
  • 3 years of experience in Toxicology.

Superintendent (Legal)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB).
  • 2 years of experience in legal services.
