Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should satisfy both the educational qualification and sports achievement requirements prescribed for the post.
Educational Qualification
Head Constable (GD)
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University recognized by the Central or State Government.
The prescribed equivalent Army qualification may also be accepted for eligible ex-servicemen.
Constable (GD)
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Candidates must possess the required educational qualification by 11 November 2026.
Sports Qualification for Head Constable (GD)
Candidates applying for Head Constable (GD) under the Sports Quota must meet one of the prescribed sports achievement conditions.
These include, among others:
- Representing India in a recognized international competition with the required clearance from the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
- Representing a State/UT in the National Games or recognized National Championship and securing a medal or position up to third place.
- Securing first or second position in an individual event at recognized Inter-University competitions.
- Winning a Gold or Silver medal at the Junior National level in a recognized competition.
Sports Qualification for Constable (GD)
Candidates applying for Constable (GD) must meet the applicable sports achievement requirements, which include:
- Representing a State in Senior/Junior National-level Games or Championships.
- Representing a State School Team in National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by SGFI and securing a medal or position up to third place.
- Representing a State/UT in Khelo India University Games, Khelo India Youth Games or Khelo India Winter Games and securing a medal or position up to third place.
- Representing a University in recognized Inter-University tournaments.
Important Sports Certificate Condition
The relevant sports achievement must fall within the prescribed period:

CRPF Sports Quota Salary
Selected candidates will receive pay according to the applicable 7th Central Pay Commission pay levels.

The application fee is:
- ₹100: Male candidates belonging to UR/OBC/EWS categories.
- No Fee: Female candidates.
- No Fee: SC/ST candidates.

CRPF Sports Quota Selection Process 2026
The recruitment process generally includes the following stages:

CRPF Physical Standard Test (PST)

CRPF Sports Trial Test
Candidates who qualify the PST proceed to the Sports Trial Test.
The Sports Trial is conducted by a designated Board of Officers and is qualifying in nature.
The trial does not add marks to the sports-achievement merit score. Candidates must satisfy the prescribed trial requirements to continue in the recruitment process.
Candidates may also be subjected to a Dope Test during the sports trial.
Medical Examination
Candidates who qualify the preceding stages are required to undergo the prescribed Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
