About the SSC CGL Tier 1 paper
The Combined Graduate Level Tier 1 is a single 60-minute computer-based paper of 100 questions worth 200 marks, with no sectional timing - you move between the four sections as you please. Every wrong answer costs 0.5 marks, which is why selection between questions matters more here than raw speed.
This mock reproduces that structure question for question and minute for minute, with the same marking. Nothing is revealed while the paper runs; the score, the section-wise breakdown and a worked solution for every question all arrive together when you submit. It is free, there is no sign-up, and you can take it as often as you like - each attempt draws a fresh set of questions.

SSC CGL Tier 1 mock test - frequently asked questions
Is this SSC CGL mock test free?
Yes, completely. There is no sign-up, no limit on attempts and no paid tier. Your attempts are stored in your own browser, not on a server, so nothing about your score leaves your device.
Does the mock test follow the real SSC CGL Tier 1 pattern?
It follows the pattern as it has stood for the last several cycles: 100 questions of 2 marks each, 25 from each of the four sections, 60 minutes for the whole paper with no sectional lock, and 0.5 marks deducted for every wrong answer. Always confirm the current pattern in the official notification before you plan around it.
How is negative marking applied here?
Exactly as the commission applies it. A correct answer adds 2 marks, a wrong one subtracts 0.5, and a question left unattempted costs nothing. The result screen shows your gross marks, the marks lost to negatives and your net score separately, so you can see what guessing actually cost you.
What is a good score in SSC CGL Tier 1?
Cut-offs move with the number of vacancies and the difficulty of the shift, but a net score above about 110 out of 200 puts most candidates in contention for the general category in a normal year. Treat anything above 55 per cent here as a healthy practice score and work on accuracy before you push attempts higher.
Can I take the test in parts?
The full paper runs for 60 minutes in one sitting, as the real one does. If that is more time than you have, pick Half Length or Mini Mock on the start screen - the pattern, the marking and the section split stay identical, only the size of the paper and the clock change.
Do I get solutions after the test?
Yes. The score report opens with your sectional breakdown and then lists every question with your answer, the correct answer and a worked explanation. Nothing is revealed during the test itself, which is the point of sitting a mock rather than playing a quiz.
