Free GK quiz for competitive exams
Static general knowledge in timed rounds - the polity, history, geography, science and culture questions that fill the general awareness section of SSC, Banking and Railway papers.
Pick a mode, a difficulty and a topic, and a round is drawn fresh from the bank with the options shuffled, so replaying does not mean memorising answer positions. The correct answer and a one-line explanation appear the moment you answer, which turns every wrong guess into a fact you now know.
At the end you get your score, accuracy and best streak, a topic-by-topic breakdown of where the marks went and a full review of every question. Your best score and day streak are saved in this browser - there is no sign-up.

How to get the most out of the GK Quiz
Write down only what you missed
The review after each round explains every question. Copying out the few you got wrong beats re-reading the many you got right.
Revise one topic at a time
Polity and sports have nothing in common but the section they appear in. A one-topic round gives your memory something to hang facts on.
Come back in three days
Static GK is pure recall, and recall fades fast. A second pass a few days later is what makes a fact stick for exam day.
Finish GK fast in the exam
General awareness is the section to finish quickest, to save time for quant and reasoning. Use Rapid Fire once you know the material.
GK Quiz - frequently asked questions
Is this GK quiz free?
Yes. Every round is free, there is no sign-up and no limit on how many times you can play. Your scores and streak are stored in your own browser, not on a server.
Which exams is this GK quiz useful for?
The general awareness section of SSC CGL, CHSL, MTS and GD, IBPS and SBI PO and Clerk, RRB NTPC and Group D, and State PSC prelims. All of them ask static GK the same way - a single fact, four options, no working needed.
What is static GK?
Static GK is general knowledge that does not change from year to year - the Constitution, history, geography, science, culture and sports facts. It is the opposite of current affairs, which depends on recent events. For current affairs, use the Current Affairs Quiz.
How many questions are in each round?
Quick Play has 10 questions, Standard has 20 and Rapid Fire has 15 with only 15 seconds each. Quick Play and Standard give you 30 seconds per question.
Can I practise one subject at a time?
Yes. Choose a topic - Polity, History, Geography, Economy, Science, Culture or Sports - before you start, and the round is drawn from it.
Is there negative marking?
No. A wrong answer scores zero and breaks your combo streak, but it never takes points away. Faster correct answers earn a time bonus, and you get one 50:50 and one skip per round.
